It's appalling that this establishment is even open. I often order restaurants through Groupon and I've never had a problem before; the deal always matched what was advertised, and the restaurants were always clean. I went there this summer with my husband and son, and even when we arrived and saw the state of the facade, we knew it must be filthy. We sat down to order, and I had noted the menu offered on Groupon. As luck would have it, the waiter told us it wasn't possible; Groupon must have made a mistake (strange... never had a mistake before, but still). The menu the waiter offered us was completely different, so I complained, but it was no use. It was awful. I now understand why we were the only ones in the restaurant; only tourists could come here. They claimed it was "homemade," but I can guarantee you it was all canned. The height of absurdity for an Italian restaurant: no more tagliatelle! I took my son to the restroom, and the sight of the kitchen was horrifying. It was a real nightmare; the kitchen was filthy, with dripping pots piled high—yuck! The restroom right next door, whose door wouldn't close, was in the same state as the kitchen. For me, that reflects the level of hygiene. My 3-year-old son said, "Oh, it's dirty!" I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. For dessert, we were entitled to crème brûlée, and of course, there was only one left. Oh well, I'll have two scoops of ice cream. And even the ice cream tasted strange. We ate the dessert, and then my husband went to the restroom himself (about 15 minutes after he served me the ice cream). Well, the ice cream tub was still wide open near the restroom, with temperatures exceeding 30°C. Once again, a complete lack of hygiene. I was ready to call the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control) to have them come and inspect the hygiene standards. It's unacceptable that this restaurant is allowed to remain open. Besides being filthy, the products aren't fresh, and the manager is a thief (the menu is different from the one on Groupon). My husband and I are usually not fussy eaters, but honestly, this has to stop! In short: absolutely do not go there.
